Overview

These are two of the gentlest places in Uganda, linked by a scenic road. Lake Mburo is the one park where you can walk or ride a horse among zebra and impala, and Lake Bunyonyi is a deep lake ringed by terraced hills where the best activity is a dugout canoe at dusk.

It suits families, first-time visitors and anyone who wants wildlife without a hard schedule.

Highlights

  • Game drive and walking safari at Lake Mburo
  • Horseback riding among zebra and impala
  • Dugout canoe on Lake Bunyonyi
  • A village visit above the lake
  • Easy days with no early starts
