Overview

Katavi is one of the most remote and least visited parks in Africa. In the dry season the animals gather on the last water, with some of the largest pods of hippos and crocodiles on the continent, and buffalo herds in the hundreds.

Three nights at Chada Katavi, under old tamarind trees on the edge of the plain, with walking safaris, game drives and hours at the hippo pools, let you experience it quietly.

Highlights

  • Walking safaris with an armed ranger
  • Hippo and crocodile pools
  • Large herds of buffalo on the Chada plain
  • Three nights at Chada Katavi
  • Almost no other visitors
