Overview

Kigali is one of the cleanest, calmest capitals in Africa, and it rewards a day of exploring. We start at the Kigali Genocide Memorial, which is essential to understanding modern Rwanda, then spend the rest of the day on the city’s lighter side: its art studios, markets and cafés.

It works well on arrival or on your last day before a flight.

Highlights

  • Kigali Genocide Memorial
  • Inema Arts Center and local studios
