Overview

The Congo Nile Trail follows the eastern shore of Lake Kivu through coffee farms, fishing villages and eucalyptus hills. We walk its prettiest northern stretch over three days, with your guide showing the way and a vehicle carrying the luggage.

Each evening you are back in a comfortable room by the lake, so the hike is a real adventure without roughing it. Along the way you will meet coffee growers, fishermen and many cheerful children.

Highlights

  • Three days on foot beside Lake Kivu
  • A coffee washing station and tasting at Kinunu
  • Village life, fishing boats and island views
