Overview

Ruaha is for travellers who want the wild Africa of old. It is Tanzania’s largest park, and yet it sees only a fraction of the visitors of the north. The lion prides here are some of the biggest on the continent.

Jongomero is in the far southwest of the park, a long way from any other camp. Walking safaris here are superb.

Highlights

  • Big lion prides and greater kudu
  • Walking safari along the sand rivers
  • No other vehicles for miles
