Overview

This route pairs the cool, dramatic mountains of the Drakensberg with the warm, rhino-filled bush of Zululand. In the Drakensberg you walk to waterfalls and ancient San rock paintings beneath Cathedral Peak. In Hluhluwe-iMfolozi you track white and black rhino.

It is a contrast trip, with both places malaria-free or low-risk, and the whole route is within a few hours of Durban.

Highlights

  • Walks and rock art beneath Cathedral Peak
  • Three nights at Cathedral Peak Hotel
  • White and black rhinos at Hluhluwe-iMfolozi
  • Three nights at Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge
