Overview

Tsavo is really two parks, and this safari gives you both. Tsavo West is hilly and green around Mzima Springs and the Shetani lava flow. Tsavo East is flat and red, with the Galana River and the long plains.

It is a quiet, rewarding route that most visitors to Kenya never see, and it ends with a straightforward drive back to Nairobi.

Highlights

  • Mzima Springs and its hippos
  • The Shetani lava flow
  • Red elephants and the Galana River
  • Finch Hattons in Tsavo West and Galdessa in Tsavo East
  • Quiet parks with few vehicles
