Overview

This route links two of northern Kenya’s best places. Ol Pejeta is a conservancy with the largest black rhino population in East Africa and a wide-open plain below Mount Kenya. Samburu is the dry north, with its river, its elephants and its own unusual species.

Two nights in each, and a flight home from the Samburu airstrip, keep the days for wildlife.

Highlights

  • Black and white rhinos at Ol Pejeta
  • Mount Kenya views from the plains
  • The Samburu Special Five
  • Elephant herds on the Ewaso Nyiro River
  • Flight home from Samburu
