The Lower Zambezi is a safari on the water. The wide river brings elephants, hippos and buffalo to the bank, and you can watch them from a canoe, a boat or a walking trail, in a park that is quiet and wild.

Three nights at Chiawa Camp, which sits under mahogany trees on the bank, give you canoe trips, boat cruises, game drives and walks, only a couple of hours from Lusaka.

Highlights

  • Canoeing on the Zambezi beside hippos
  • Boat cruises at sunset
  • Walks among elephants
  • Three nights at Chiawa Camp
  • A short transfer from Lusaka
