Overview

This route pairs two very different southern parks. Amboseli is flat and open, with elephant herds and Kilimanjaro above them. Tsavo West is rougher and wilder, with the crystal pools of Mzima Springs and the black lava of the Shetani flow.

The distance between them is short, which makes this a relaxed trip with a lot of variety.

Highlights

  • Elephant herds and Kilimanjaro at Amboseli
  • Tortilis Camp in the Amboseli plains
  • Mzima Springs and its hippos
  • The Shetani lava flow
  • Finch Hattons in Tsavo West
