Overview

Kidepo is Uganda’s hidden treasure, a wide valley ringed by mountains on the South Sudan and Kenyan borders. By road it takes two days to reach; by light aircraft it takes two hours, and you land to lion and buffalo on the Narus Valley plains.

Apoka Safari Lodge is the only upmarket place to stay in the park, so the wildlife viewing is as private as it gets. We also take you to meet the Karamojong in their manyattas, which is one of the most memorable cultural visits in East Africa.

Highlights

  • Scheduled flights over the length of Uganda
  • Cheetah, lion and huge buffalo herds in the Narus Valley
  • A visit to a Karamojong homestead
  • Sundowners on a kopje with no one else around
