Overview

Three very different habitats in six days: the papyrus swamps of Mabamba, the acacia woodland of Lake Mburo and the plains, craters and channels of Queen Elizabeth.

It works well for a birder travelling with someone who prefers mammals, with a walk among zebra and giraffe and a day searching for tree-climbing lions.

Highlights

  • Shoebill at Mabamba Swamp
  • Walking safari at Lake Mburo
  • Boat trip on Lake Mburo for finfoot and giant kingfisher
  • Katwe craters and Kazinga Channel
  • Tree-climbing lions at Ishasha
