Overview

Etosha is Namibia’s great game park, built around a huge white salt pan and a string of waterholes that draw elephants, lions, giraffe and rhinos in the dry season. The game viewing is easy and rewarding, and the black rhinos are some of the best to see in Africa.

Two nights at Onguma The Fort, on the eastern edge of the park, make a short, comfortable safari from Windhoek.

Highlights

  • Waterhole game viewing for elephants, lions and rhinos
  • The Etosha Pan, Africa’s great salt pan
  • Black rhinos in the open
  • Two nights at Onguma The Fort
