Overview

Amboseli is the park to see elephants, and the way the herds move across open plains beneath Africa’s highest mountain is a view that stays with you. Kilimanjaro is clearest at dawn and dusk, so we plan the days around the light.

It is a short, easy safari with a full day in the park, and a good addition to the Mara or to a Tanzania trip.

Highlights

  • Elephant herds on the open plains
  • Kilimanjaro at sunrise and sunset
  • Game drives around the swamps for hippos and birds
  • Two nights at Tortilis Camp

Prices are per person, in US dollars, and depend on the number of travellers sharing the vehicle and guide. They are sample rates for planning and will be confirmed when you enquire, as lodge and permit prices change each year. Kilimanjaro is often hidden by cloud in the middle of the day, so views cannot be guaranteed.

  • Rates can change when lodge, permit and park fees are updated, and are confirmed when you enquire.
  • The order and content of the safari can be adjusted to suit you, and a change may affect the price.
  • If a lodge is fully booked, we will offer a comparable one.
