Overview

Sabi Sand is a private reserve that shares an open border with Kruger, and it is famous for its leopards, which are used to vehicles and often seen close. Because it is private, the guides can drive off the road and take you out at night, which the national park does not allow.

Three nights at Lion Sands River Lodge, on the Sabie River, give you six game drives and a lot of time to find the cats.

Highlights

  • Leopards, lions and the Big Five in a private reserve
  • Off-road game drives and night drives
  • Three nights at Lion Sands River Lodge
  • Short flights from Johannesburg
