Overview

This route adds a lakeside stop at Naivasha to the classic circuit, so the drive across the country is broken into easier days and you get a different kind of day in the middle of the trip.

At Loldia House you walk, ride and take a boat on the lake, and then continue to the rhinos of Nakuru and the Mara. A flight from the Mara on the last day brings you back to Nairobi without another long road day.

Highlights

  • Elephants beneath Kilimanjaro at Amboseli
  • Walks and a boat on Lake Naivasha
  • Rhinos at Lake Nakuru
  • Game drives in the Mara
  • Flight home from the Mara
